COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled. A Devon best bitter, amber in colour and a multi award winner. The modern hops produce a well balanced, clean and crisp beer with a dry and hoppy finish.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear medium yellow amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, light to moderate hoppy, flowers, perfume. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Cask. Orangeish golden colour with a small slightly off-white head, that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is caramel malts, mild crystal malty notes as well as some nutty and wooden notes along with some mild floral notes. Flavour is being rather similar, but the wooden notes are more evident than they are in the aroma,

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 2007. Beautifuuly clear amber/gold, thin beige. Decent hoppy aroma, bit of farty yeast. It’s a bitter, quite interesting. Down as Bays Bitter but the ABV is the same.

Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Amber with slight head. Malt lead, grainy, slightly dull bitter, some perfume notes but largely a slightly bready, yeasty beer. A little disappointing.

Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Attractive clear amber colour. Thin white head. Good lively condition. Slightly grainy aroma. Tangy hop come through stronger on the palate. Some resinous notes. Firm, fresh mouthfeel with decent bite. A quite accomplished session bitter from a new brewery.

Cask, Nottingham Fest 07. Deep gold with no head. Aromas are light malts with citrus and spices. Flavours are slightly sour citrus with caramel, biscuit and hay. Some saltiness, too. Dry on the finish.

Cask@St Albans. Pretty boring bitter. Not much happening. Grainy, malty mouthfeel at the start, quite cereally, and raw, with some metallic notes.

Cask, The London Inn (’Spoons), Torquay. Red-amber, hoppy bitter draped with lace. Musty and aromatic with a lick of copper. Smells of citrussy hop loveliness. Clean, fruity, hop-accented Bitter.

Cask@Nottingham Beer Festival 2007. Golden beer with a lightly dry aroma with a hint of toffee. The flavour is lightly dry and toffee. Overall a plain hopped beer.
