Cask conditioned at The Odd Wheel Inn, Wembury, Devon. Brown amber with white head. This was a little flat but still a sweetish, malty beer with darker roasted malts. Good nose and perhaps a little thin on the palate there is a burnt husky taste through the finish. pretty decent.

Cask @ The Raven, Bath (coastal beer festival). Copper with lots of lace. Rich husky but not too husky malt aroma. Soft palate. Very nice malts are medium toasty and featured well. Tastes like a nut brown but is balanced.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DruncanVeasey (5138) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2009
Bottle. Thick collared copper hinting at the creaminess beneath. Woodsy, discreetly spicy hop musk nudging into hazelnut, chocolate and wholemeal. Slick, woodsy and good, holding those hazelnut, chocolate, digestive and faint beansprout dankness notes all the way. Might be filtered, but doesn’t feel it. Rub of peppery English hopcone. Really well put together, and BrewDog aside, easily the pick of the Sainsbury’s haul so far...
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 weaselkenievil (1093) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 9, 2009
Bottle from my local Sainsbury’s. Tesco beer selection near me is awful, big one in town is ok though. So thank Eric for Sainsbury’s. Anyway...Amber with small off white head. First impressions are a fairly standard ESB but it’s certainly better than a helluva lot of the crap I get subjected to. Some citrus, hops, malts, little caramel and biscuit. Nice enough indeed.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 gunnar (2634) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2011
Bottle from my hotel bar in Torquay. Pours clear nut/amber with a moderate sized off-white creamy head.Aroma is malty with some citrus hops. Taste is that same lovely fresh and crisp hops that I have experienced in all the beers from this brewery.Good amount of citrussy hops, long lasting. Some good malty toffee as well, with a light roasted note. A nice one again,
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, best before 23 June 2010, drank and reviewed 27 Mar 2010. Poured into a vase shaped pint glass.
Semi dark, reddy, amber in colour, no head, just a mini wisp of white bubbles with a thin collar.
Malted biscuits came to mind as I stuck my nose into the glass, some aromatic hop hints too.
The taste was malty, pleasant and sweet for an English Bitter. The alcohol hides behind the sweetness, but sneaks up on you as the beer is consummed.
Very drinkable, never heard of the brewery before, I hope I meet them again. Pity the beer didn’t manage to produce a head.

@ Raven, Bath. Bright golden-amber. The aroma is fruity-berryish with a hint of caramel. Character is lightly toasty, lightly metallic with caramelly notes. OK, quite malt-accented.
