Clear medium amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, malty, borring ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110802]

[500ml bottle, gift from Mum & Dad - cheers!] Golden-amber with a thin white head and a moderate fizz. Looks very thin on pouring but actually has a reasonable mouthfeel. Aroma of sweet malt, and sweetness is the main initial taste. However, some grassy hops kick in, then some ginger, and a drying straw bitterness in the finish is just about enough to offset the sweetness. OK overall.

On tap @ the Tankerville Arms, Longden, Shropshire. Pours a cloudy dark-honey colour with some head. The nose has gente malt and a wild honey sweetness. The taste has honey, sultanas, then apples. The palate is medium to large in structure, rich in texture and there is a sweet though elegant finish. Overall, I like this, it works!

Sweet malty everything - all the way from the aroma to the finish. Dull, but very grainy, lots of malt and bread in the finish.

Bottle at a seafood restaurant in Torquay. Pours clear golden with a big white head. Aroma is malty and some solid hops. Taste is fresh and crisp hops, enough of them to stand out from the british ¨middle of the road¨ beers, oranges and lemons shines through a good malty body. Lovely beer.
