Cask, Le Bistro Pierre, Torquay, 05/09/14. Handsome auburn with a persistent dense lacing collar. Nose of pine needle, forest floor, soapy and peachy orange hop. Very decent rounded orange and pine hop balanced with digestive biscuit-type malt with sprinkles of milk chocolate. Hints of crushed hazelnut, Ovaltine and orange-hinting hop tang. Pick of the local shit.

A mid orange brown coloured beer with a thick white head. A mild malty aroma, touch spicy and nutty. Dry mouthfeel. A dry, biscuity malt taste, nutty and spicy again, with a background of caramel then a zesty lemony hop flavour comes through to lift the finish.
Tasted at the River Cottage Canteen, Axminster, Devon.

Draught. Aroma has malty sweetness. Flavor is a bit dull but quite clean and is dominated by maltiness and amber malt bitterness. Aftertaste has a bit ash, nothing special but drinkable.
