2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
In short: An earthy fruity-nutty messy dark ale of some kind. Very dirty. Bad.
How: Bottle 500ml. consumed fresh a few days after purchase from a Spanish beer store, almost two years before expiration date.
The look: Many particles in a muddy dark brown body topped by a quickly dissipating tan head.
In long: Nose is sweaty resinous hops, walnuts, lots dark fruits esters, a spiciness reminiscent of star anise. Body is time and chewy with a carbonation that is a bit too relaxed. Taste is.... strange. Very fruity (raisins, dark berries, vinous notes), similar fruity flavors than I get from belgian dark ales, except here the yeast fells chalky and dirty. Burnt walnuts, awkward fruity sourness, very strong earthy sensation. No very bitter for a beer that advertises 135 ibu. Just a big mess from start to finish. I wonder how many more millions of years of evolution it will take for human beings to stop making beers like this.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted on Tap. Very nice dark colour with cofee taste. Very light carbonation and head. I like the bitter finish. Nice one. Puxa asturies.
