Good. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 28, 2007 Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Clear golden. Aroma of salty licorice and orange. Fairly soft and sweet with medium body. Roasty and smokey with loads of tar and salty finish. Good, unusual golden ale. Dedoulequeen07 (136), london, Greater London, England Jun 10, 2007 Cask 3 Judges. A pale yellow lagerish colour with minimal and diminishing head. Aromas of grapefuit, tropical fruits and pal malts. Once warm schloer and green apple tones excite the nose. Tasre is of plae malts with citurus hops, apples and a hearttilly bitter finish. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Jun 10, 2007 3 Judges. Aroma is pink grapefruit and tropical fruits, citrus with hints of apple as it warms. Taste is similarly fruity, noteably bitter beast with bitterness hitting the tongue as soon as it enters your mouth, good effort alround. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 29, 2006 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Peterborough BF. A golden coloured beer with a little citric hop in the aroma. The taste is bitter and there are lemony notes. A bit of a phenolic aftertaste acts as a spoiler. Clear golden coloured and fruity. Slightly dry on the palate with a hop finish. chriso (4667), London, Greater London, England Feb 28, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense) at the Four Chestnuts Beer Festival, Chichester. Pale gold colour. A hoppy beer, with plenty of sharp grapefruit. Despite that the mouthfeel is smooth and mellow. Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but its clean, crisp and refreshing. A very god, easy-drinking, quaffing ale. I enjoyed it.
