Cask; Special - July 2008.
7th of the 2008 Salford Breweries Series. In 1931, Walker & Homfray Ltd brewed an Old Punch Ale at Woodside Brewery to celebrate the bicentenary of the Salford Charter.

Cask in the market porter. Aroma is toffee malts, floural earthy character. Taste is on the malty side, perhaps some fruity yeast, quite drinkable stuff.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 22/7/08. Deep amber in colour with a moderate white head. Fruity malt and earthy hop aroma. Flavour had some chewy malt, a touch of caramel and citrus hops, before a decent bitter finish. Good.
