COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Astonishingly complex light-amber beer with premium ale characteristics. Well-bodied, initial maltiness leads to full fruit hop character and ultimate dry finish. Brewed to the original Bridgewater Ales’ Navigator recipe. (CAMRA National Beer of the Year 2000.)

Clear straight golden pour. Slight 1cm white head. Kinda generic in the nose – a grainy, melbda toast reminiscent blend with sunflower maltiness. Redirects toward mellow floral hops in its second half and hiding a mild toastiness, but you need to seek it out, it does not come naturally.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Judges, Glasgow 17/06/10. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of lemony, citrus hops and sweet malts. Flavour had more citrus, marred by some ashy, roasted malts. Finish was moderately bitter. Ok.

Cask, Kings Arms, Salford. Lightish golden colour with a thin white head. Fairly insipid aroma with vague maltiness and citrus lurking. Flavour has somet hop character, but doesn’t really shine. Dry bitter finish. All in all, pretty unremarkable, if drinkable, fayre.
