A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown Inn.
Deep, dark mahogany with a tan head. Inviting looks. Sweet and malty with plenty of fruity tang and some strong caramel. Slight sourness to it also. It’s like a sweet old ale. Wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. Balancing bitter finish. Jolly good stuff.
