Commercial Description:
Cask; Special.
Our 2009 series partly focuses on Salford again - this time on events, anniversaries and local organisations. The third in the series is Salford Flyer (4.1%). 2009 sees the centenary of the first all-British powered flight by A V Roe who was born in Patricroft, Salford in 1877. Roe flew 30m in his triplane, a replica of which can be seen in Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry.Roe, together with his brother, went on to set up Avro aircraft manufacturers in 1910 in Manchester and Oldham.
Brewed with Whisky malts.

A Mes rate. Cask handpull at the Market Porter.
Clean golden brown with a thin white head and good condition. A very solid English bitter with some awesome peaty malt and a lovely dusty bitterness. Backed up with some excellent floral notes. Dry bitter finish with some late earthy hints. Loads of body, unusual and interesting. Good stuff.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Loads of whisky malt, smokey grainy character, iodine bitterness, quite as bit of carbonation. Reminds me of cheap whisky with soda, totally not my scene.
