A Sim rate (cask at the Crown): Quite perfumy with coffee and seriously roasted malt in the aroma. Nice opaque black colour, but the head and lace just disappear. Flavour of roasted burnt toast, malt, yeast and coffee. Quite nice.

Cask at Market Porter. A lovely, rich, smoky stout, just the thing for the winter. Creamy, smooth, just the right amount of soot to make it stand out. Pitch dark, a hint of ruby.
