Not a huge fan of brown ales but this one was very good and drinkable. Once again lacking in the aroma department but the flavor was there.Looking forward to more of there seasonals.

Sampled on draft at the brewery on 7/15/11. Pours a dark brown color with a thin creamy offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts with a bit of nuttiness. The taste is dark malts, chocolate, salty notes and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

Draft: Light aromatics, dark roasted malt, moss. Cloudy brown, medium cream colored head, coats the glass uniformly. Slight tartness, milk chocolate hints. Finishes clean. Fairly ordinary brown, quaffable.
