Commercial Description:
Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

very malty. some banana, clove, vanilla, lemon, and hints of german wheat and carmel malts. a decent session. good for summer, mowing and such. my guess is if people didn’t know who brewed it, it would be higher rated, either that or its worse on tap than from the bottle.

Clear yellow pour with a thick and lasting foamy white head. Lemony and hoppy aroma with some wheat. Heavily carbonated. Slighty hoppy taste, mostly citrus (orange) with lemon (light zest). Some toasted malts. Bit of hay/grassy hops towards the finish. I must be drinking a different beer than everyone else, because I liked this one. Some spice in the finish which is long and bitter. Not extraordinary, but really pretty decent.

Draft at Williamsburg Great Wolf Lodge. Pale gold with minimal, fizzy, white head. Slight hopcitric and honey malty aroma and taste hints, but really not much going on here. Around a pool in 90 degree heat, it refreshed, but it isn’t a great beer by any means.

Rancid cola taste, no aroma what so ever, with bitter harsh aftertaste! Horid!

clear gold with a medium sized white head. drab hop aroma with some grains. light bodied with light hops. the few hops they added saved it from being complete crap. caramel roasted barley malts??

Pours a nice golden color with a white soapy head. Carbonation appears to be moderate. Aroma is almost indistinguishable. Flavor is almost as hard to find but some sweet fruit is there. Where is the advertised malt? There is nothing to not like here and the beer is crisp and clean but so is water. I wanted something with beer flavor. Didn’t find it here.

Very boring, basic lager. Light, light, light. Some hops - nice balance with the malt. Drinkable.

12oz Bottle. 24K / straw color. Thin white head. Aroma of an American (corn) Ale. Pleasant hop presence. Sweet malt body. Fairly clean and smooth. Really tastes of a Malt Liquor though. Not Bad, Not good either. At least AB is trying. They really should try a bit harder...
