UPDATED: MAY 27, 2007 On tap at a local Iowa City bar. The body was medium yellow with a white head. The aroma was grainy corn with some green leafy lettuce. Almost like collard greens. The taste was corn flakes with some hints of citrus and tobacco. The citrus hint made this slightly sweet. Not too bad.

I had this beer at Famous Dave’s in Billings, MT. It was a fairly decent beer, nice and refreshing. I had it after drinking a few old milwaukees so to me it tasted a little watery. Not too bad overall I would drink it again.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2006 Only somewhat drinkable beer on tap at the Green Iguana in Tampa

Aroma is light but has perfumey hops that smell both fruity and floral. Almost has a coriander wit type aroma, but much less concentrated. Body is clear gold with a diminishing thumb thick head. Fore is lightly hopped, but the hops are floral and pleasant. Fairly watery, but this has some flavor. Big citrus kick in the middle and finish tastes like orange peel and orange juice and it’s fairly well hopped flavor wise for the style and especially for a Bud product. Has a fairly lagery flavor in the far finish that is grainy and malty sweet, but this is not at all a bad beer.

It feels a lot more like a Blonde Ale than a Pale Ale and tastes that way too, but it is not bad flavor wise...just probably not what most would expect when they order a pale ale.

on tap at applebees. the waitress told me it was close to sierra nevada. ha. i asked her what style it was and she looked at me like i was retarded. well mabye i am for listening to her in the first place. she was pretty hot though. pour was piss yellow with a light white head. aroma was yeast, stale hops, and lightly skunky. taste was very mellow and un exciting. the people next to us ordered the same thing and sent it back. it made me laugh.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 5, 2006
On tap at Jazz in Omaha. Cute tap handle of a buxom lass holding a surfboard. Pours piss gold with a large fizzy fluorescent white head. Carbonation bubbles are so large that the beer resembles a cream soda more than beer. Aroma is close to a perfumed soap than beer. Body is unremarkably watery and weak. Finishes with a mild bitter hoppiness and odd chemical taste.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 alobar (1959) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 3, 2006
On tap. A hair better than Budweiser. The lemon helped tremendously with the flavor. No head. Urine-colored and just as clear. Not refreshing and not enjoyable. Another typical Americna macrobrew made for those with little taste.
