COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

Found this one bottled in St. Charles, Illinois. Light orange, bubbly pour with a thick, foamy head, light citrus nose. Subtle hoppiness, balanced. Corniness in the finish. I didn’t have high hopes and it really didn’t disappoint, although it would make a great session beer for summertime.

I drank this purely for the rating. I have to say, that there was not much of anything going on in this beer. A slight bit of spice and fruit, but very thin and bland.

A bit disappinted at this beer. Was expecting more, but found it to have very little taste and aroma. Ok to try once.

Golden pour without much head. Kind of thin mouthfeel. Not much lacing on glass. Fruity taste, but nothing memorable about it either. Smell was fruity as well, the smell was actually better than the taste.

translucent gold with just a ring of bubbles, medium body with medium-high carbonation.

aroma: peppery cascade-citrus hop aromatics, a bit of caramel malt sweetness. clean and pleasant.

taste: toffee malt sweetness, sweet orange, some leafy hop bitterness, a hint of astringent grain hunk, and another slightly odd note i can’t quite pin down.

Bottle. Pours a yellowish color with a small white head. Aroma of pale malts with a hint of honey and some light hops. Flavor is pretty dull. Mostly sweet, light malts, a little honey and some faint hops. Drinkable at best.

Poured from bottle into snifter glass on Anheuser Busch Brewmaster tour. Golden color with medium white head. Thin-bodied, metallic, and overly carbonated as typical with Anheuser Busch products, but I will acknowledge some ale yeast esters and improved hops aroma. Definitely better than Bud. I don’t get the marketing angle, though, the cheesy name and graphics. What’s the target market here?

Had on a hot summer day at the ballpark...just about the only way I’d have this again. Just a boring beer.

Draught at MacGregors. Had no idea that this was from AB, but it makes sense. Clear gold with a low head. Malty aroma of buttered peaches. Fruity, buttery sweet malt flavor with honey and a slight tart edge. Lightly bitter finish. Very fruity and quite sweet. Not very interesting.

A: The beer pours a golden straw color with a small and short lived white head. S: Matching the appearance of the beer, this one smells strongly of straw. There is a light bread not as well as a healthy dose of corn. Mild yeast and some light, fruity esters. T: The flavor offers up some pale malts to go along with the straw and grass. There is a light hop bitterness to it. Some apple and corn give it more sweetness. M: Light in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: Surfs up, brah.

Bottled@Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, nectar, wood and mild honey as well as some mild hoppyness. Flavour is sweet malts, mild hops and some grassyness. Yet a slight swill feeling to it.
