Mediocre beer with a nice deep chocolate color, but a pretty watery mouthfeel and little taste.

On tap at Social Kitchen. Pours with a deep brown body and a tan head. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa nibs, coffee. Some earthy and tobacco notes as well. Flavors of coffee, chocolate, cocoa nibs, earthy and a bit chalky. Feels a bit flabby. Lightly metallic. Light bodied.

Draught at the brewpub, SF. Deep dark brown colour with a thin tan head. Roasted malt and dark chocolate nose with some vague hop and dark fruit also. More roasted character in the flavour with some coffee notes and slight sweetness. Slightly weak palate. Dryish finish. Bit forgettable really, but this was a nice place to spend a couple of hours.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours picth black with a small tan head and a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark roasted malty, light toffee like note. Bitter, hardroasted and slight acidic flavoured. Dry and roasted finish.

Serving was in a pint glass poured from the tap. Condensed review: Appearance. The head has a cappuccino color. Flieshhacker Stout has a black opaque color that you would expect from a stout. Smell. The aroma of this stout is of very dark roasted malts and chocolate. The hop bouquet is very slight and has a hint of citrus and a more faint hint of concord grape juice. Taste. Fleishhacker Stout has a nice flavor of toasty, dark roast coffee. There is also a noticeable bitterness, which is balanced well against a pleasant malty sweetness. The flavor also has a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel. This is a medium bodied beer and I personally prefer a stout that has a fuller and creamier body. In fact, I think the mouthfeel is a bit watery. Drinkability. Fleishhacker Stout is a smooth beer that can be consumed all year round. Full review: http://beer47.com/2009/01/beach-chalet-fl

The body was black with a creamy light tan head on top. The aroma was chocolate with some pancakes and old coffee. The taste was nasty coffee with a bitter roasted finish. There was also some burnt peanuts. Too much strange hops for the style.

Definetely the best presented at Park Chalet. Very well crafted with nice roasted tastes and pretty sweet. A bit of an afteraste but overall very drinkable.
