3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really interesting to see this on the menu when the last ratings were from nearly a decade ago. Is this an infrequently brewed beer, or just hasn’t it had many takers? I have the menu to prove it! But, the basic profile is nice as against the average amber--nothing offensive, with more malts than hops (nothing grassy or bitter in the finish), and a good caramel note in the mid-palate. On tap at brewpub.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap, brew pub. Dark malt nutty aroma. Dark red, small white head. Very dry nutty taste - very surprising (I was not expecting much from an Amber from these guys). More of a solid brown ale. Dry finish, very little hops. A really nice session type ale.
