Aroma is light chocolate and 95% olives. Fair label, nearly opaque, khaki head. Acidic, twangy, olives and clingy roast. Chalky mouthfeel over acidity, green nuts, coffee. This has a general unfiinished character. Very average, very average.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PorterPounder (3944) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2006
Tallahassee Fl. - World Market - 12 oz bottle. Dark, ruby red to cola brown pour with a generous mocha colored head. Decent chocolatey aroma. Flavor has some cocoa, some roasted notes and finished with some coffee hints. Bitters just a bit in the finish. Thick enough mouthfeel. Fairly suprised considering the other Beachsides I have had.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beedman (53) - Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2006
12 oz. bought locally. Pours a beautiful dark cola colour, with minimal foam and low carbonation. Aroma is deep malt with chocolate and coffee. Tastes smooth and feels slightly syrupy due to minimal carbonation. Lots of coffee, bitter chocolate and some grassy hop character. At a dollar a bottle, it can’t be beat.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DocLock (5776) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2006
Thanks to Matta for this one, and thanks to myself for being the 10th rater, and giving this one a locked-in rating. The pour is dark brown, and looks amazingly deep ruby through my desk lamp, with a 1-finger tan head. Definite 4 for appearance. The aroma is tart fruity, with cherries, berries, some roasty malt, and cereal. The palate is medium, a tad watery for this style, but the flavor is pretty good, with some roasty malt, chocoff, molasses, and nuts.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kramer (3376) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2006
12 oz bottle, via acertain. Pours a clear dark brown colored body under a fizzy soda-pop like light brown head that faded to a thin ring. Aroma is chocolaty and lightly roasty although somewhat grainy and harsh. Flavor is very thin, a little chocolate malt and some chalky graininess that really came out on the finish. Mouthfeel is fairly thin and watery in texture. Carbonation is fizzy and lively. Overall, this was quite thin and unimpressive in all aspects.

Bottle courtesy of Degarth: Clear dark brown pour has a thin tan head. Rich dark bittersweet chocolatey mocha aroma. Mildly sweet, yet thin, dark chocolatey body finishes with a hint of smoke and lingering bittersweet dark chocolate. A decent porter.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Numenor (871) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 11, 2006
Thanks to Degarth for this unique beer to try! Nice black body with minimal head. Very pungent aroma, mollasses, cherry, prunes, roasted malts. Flavor is full of chocolate and coffee, somewhat thiner than I’d imagined though. Nice slight bitterness in the ending. Overall, a nice porter.
