COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beyond a Reasonable Stout is a dark beer lover’s dream. A base of British Maris Otter malt is combined with generous additions of British caramel and roasted malts for a broad and rich flavor profile. Flaked barley and oats provide a silky mouthfeel that works in concert with delicate infusions of molasses and brown sugar. German and English hops mingle to provide the perfect balance to the roastiness.

On tap at Beachwood; interesting beer. Strong flavor with a viscous pour. Somewhat creamy on palate. A bit like Bailey’s in the taste. A bit boozy.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of lots of caramel, dark sugars, molasses, slight toffee notes with hints of spice, grain, slight grass notes in there with some nice roast, coffee, slight cocoa powder. Taste is a nice mix of molasses, toffee, hints of roast, coffee and chocolate, going into some nice spice, earthy tones, finishing with some slight grass, more roast.

On tap at Beachwood; thick looking with a dark brown color. Alot of roasted malt and burnt oats in the flavor and aroma, but surprisingly lacking a bit in depth.

On tap. Pours with a pitch black hued and a retentive tan head with good lace. Aromas are of bitter chocolate, molasses, dark fruits, cocoa and toasty malt. Restrained otherwise. Flavors are dry for a beer this big, molasses, brown sugar, malty, boozy, malted milk, medium esters with a very strong bitterness. Creamy, big mouthfeel, boozy, dry and bitter with a bitter balance.

Black pour with a khaki head. Nose is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. A mild toffee sweetness, some earthy hops, and a bit of molasses. Flavor is a touch bitter with a ton of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee notes. Some licorice, molasses, and toffee. Light earthy hops. Very simple, basic, straightforward imperial stout.
