On tap at the brewpub. A clear, dark golden beer with a white head. Very peachy nose, some pale malts escaping the glass. Lots of pine cones too. Very soft on the palate, full to medium body. A good bitterness supports the light sweetness, else mostly fruity. Long finish. Might be too much to drink all night, but the occasional glass is fine. 130813

A: The pour is a light amber color with a finger of white head and some nice lacing. S: Fairly heavy on the floral and citrus hops with a lot of orange peel and a decent amount of grapefruit. There is a good amount of bread, appropriate for a pale. A light grass and fruit note as well as some pine. T: The majority of the hop flavor is floral with a bit of pine to it. Not as much citrus as I expected, unfortunately. Most of the flavor here is bready malt with a touch of caramel and toffee. There is a bit of grass and a light bitterness on the finish. M: The body is on the light side of medium with a moderate carbonation. O: This is a drinkable pale ale, but it doesn’t quite live up to the standard set by some of the other Beachwood beers.

Gold pour, white head. Aroma is a wonderful blend of aromatic hops and some light bready malts. I get hints of tangerine and lime, maybe some grapefruit. Finishes clean and somewhat bitter.

enjoyed on tap at The Blue Palm. A nice drinking pale, with the bitterness that used to be considered an IPA in the old days. Good retained foam on yellow, very lacy. Good aroma of hops. Great beer anytime.

Tap at Beachwood Long Beach. Poured clear golden with spotty lace. Nose is hop resin, sticky, butterscotch. Taste is skunky lemon (?), lime, biting tannins like sucking on wool. Pretty much a palate wrecker. Too tannic for me.

Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, pine, citrus, grape and grass. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus, fruity and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at GABF. Clear golden in color with a one finger white head. Citrus and floral hops on the aroma with some pale/biscuit malt evident. The flavor could use a little more bite but is still good. Balanced malt and hop profile, with mild bitterness and citrus notes. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. Pretty good attempt overall.
