COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopheads rejoice! Citraholic is a "modern" West Coast IPA thatís focused on Citra, one of our favorite new American hop varieties. Brewed with an abundance of Citra hops, we also blend in Warrior, Columbus, and Simcoe in the kettle for good measure. Citraholic is double dry hopped for two weeks with an abundance of Citra (and a touch of Columbus) imparting heavy aromas of citrus & tropical fruits with melon and gooseberry nuances. A base of American 2-row malt and scatterings of light British caramel malt create the perfect foundation for this unique and powerfully pungent IPA. You asked for it and we were happy to deliver!

Bottle... Hazy peach-colored pour with a small, creamy, white head. The restrained bouquet involves vanilla and even more subtle notes of citra hop fruitiness and muskiness. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with stinging carbonation. The flavor provides loads of citrusy, rindy, pithy bitterness. Lengthy, bitter finish. Thanks to newcigarz for supplying the bottle!

Very good. Had this with surf & turf. The Citra hop cut through the sauces and held strong. Touch syrupy, but the hop profile limits that sensation.

22oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Amazing hop aroma. Citrus, pine, dank hops. Strong bitterness. Tasty IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle I think from Brokensail. Poured into snifter. HO LEE HELL amazeballs nose of citrus, lime, lemon, berry, zest. Pours a fairly clear dark yellow with medium sized white head. Taste is initially very bitter with a moderate amount of residual sweetness as well. Definitely some alcohol warming in the chest and ears, which surprises me for a 7% beer. carbonation seems a bit low as well. Hops seem to be all bitterness (other than the nose) and not enough in the flavor. Iíd prefer this to be a bit more dry and more carbonated as well. Kind of let down after the aroma, but its still a solid IPA. I just wish it tasted like it smelled.

Bottle pour. Super stank bomb that is well balanced and super hoppy! I love it! Make more Beechwood!

Bomber 3 days fresh. Opaque pour with white foamy head. Dank nose of hops, citrus and tropical fruit. Taste follows the nose with more bitterness than fruitiness which was a little disappointing. Really good but I think a maltier DIPA type backbone would work better for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled yesterday! Fresh Citra dominates on the nose, Iím getting the citrus, melon and gooseberry mentioned. You could tell me there was Nelson in here and Iíd believe you. Finishes strong and bitter but still well-balanced. Very enjoyable.

Tasted at the 16th Bistro IPA Festival on April 6, 2013. This IPA pours a light orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, herbal and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. Nice balance. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draft at Torst with Clockwork and Joel. Pours a bright golden amber with light haze and white lacing. Aroma is strong pine resin and light fruit. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of bitter pine upfront with bitter citric fruits following. Lots of resin, overall very nice IPA.
