Everything has a beginning. One glorious day in July of 2011, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing erupted from a singularity. Ever since it has continued to expand with boundaries yet to be seen. We present to you Dank Epoch, an intergalactic triple IPA that celebrates Beachwood’s love of hops. Brewed with an excess of 6lbs of hops per barrel, Dank Epoch is infused with Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe, Summit, & Warrior hops for an expanse of citrus flavors. This beer goes to "ludicrous speed" faster than Spaceball One.

Pours a deep orange color with average head. Nose is rubber, sticky toffee, dank hops, pine, and orange peel. The palate is thick, boozy, with flavors of bitter hops, pine, lemon bith, and malt. A bit heavy and boozy.

Clear light amber color with ivory foam. Floral, pine, grapefruit hoppy aromas. medium body. Big bitter grapefruit flavors with a sharp, dry caramel base brew, boozy alcohol flavors to finish--not Beachwoods best ipa

Sampled several times, but this rate is from a growler at Sourfest. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a white head and great lace. Aromas are quite dank and pungent with canned peaches, weed, DMTS (oniony/garlic), light caramel, medium sweet and alcohol. Flavors are quite sweet (surprisingly so from Beachwood), alcoholic, medium bitter, dank, orange and tangerine. Thick, medium full carbonation. Quite sweet sadly.

On tap at father's office culver city. Aroma is all hops, obviously. Flavor is a bit too bitter, not quite as resiny as one might expect. This is no younger, but it's drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From tap at the Bruery Provisions. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and light alcohol. Sweet, solid hoppy and crisp hoppy. Grapefruity and peachy, mango and citric. Ends bitter, mixed fruity and alcohol warming. Too hot.

Tap at Beachwood Seal Beach. Good lace. Clear gold. Apple nose. Oddities. Taste is powdery and white liquor. Tannic apple skins. No thanks. Paint thinner nose. Sharp alcohol. Ick.

Growler. Clear golden amber pour, sticky white head. Resinous bitter hops, pine, grapefruit, mango, grass clipping, very dry, and somewhat boozy. I enjoyed it, a good break from the sours at Stone Sour Ale Fest.
