Orange pour with a white head. Incredibly dank, resinous, piney aroma. Tons of woody character, some grapefruit, a touch of fruit, and some caramel. Intense bitterness to the flavor. Almost overwhelming pine and resin notes. Wood, citrus, and caramel. A touch of alcohol on the finish.

On tap at Beachwood it pours a golden orange color with a nice head. Aroma of big hops with some citrus. The taste has big pine and grassy notes and some malt in the background. True California IPA and my kind of beer.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange-yellow pour with thin white head, this is nice, aroma brought notes of big dank hops, nice pine, grass, orange and grapefruit, slight spice notes, hints of cracker and biscuit but its mainly hops. Taste is a mix of biscuit and cracker going into nice pine, dank with slight onion, hints of orange, grapefruit, and lemon notes, finishing fairly bitter, dry.

6 aug 2013, tap at Hollingshead. Yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is serious grapefruit rind hops. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Tastes like cotton candy and grapefruit. Huge bitter finish. This is awesome! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had a sample in a flight at Blue Palms. Delicious, big but not boozy, nice fresh hop balance.

Wittales (632) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Appearance was hazy gold with diminishing creamy off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are citrus tropical fruits, sweet onion, pine tar, spruce and grass with slight sweet malts and alcohol. Taste are grapefruit, lemon, melon, pine, pepper, wood, hints of sweet malt backbone with slight alcohol. Palate was soft creamy CO2 with medium-full body, lasting citrusy pine tropical warming finish. A worthy DIPA.

This beer was amazing, on tap at Beachwood, thanks to GT2 for the invite, super bitter and hoppy, very strong.

Tap at Beachwood Long Beach for their Anniversary Party. Thank you to brocansail and BMan11111111SR71. Clear lighter orange pour. Medium white head with okay retention and moderate lacing. Nose is pretty juicy, "dank" tropical hops, some Simcoe "cattiness" like cat piss, and Amarillo bright potpourri and resin. Pretty much smells like waxy hop cone. Taste is approaching harsh on the IBU range, sharp citrus peel, potpourri, heavy alpha acid. Palate again is a bit too dry coupled with intense bitterness that it leaves the drinker without balance. Sharp and abusive rather than integrated and quenching.
