COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Denver Jackhammer is Beachwood’s newest double IPA that relentlessly pounds out massive hop aromas and flavors. A light base of American 2-row malt paves the way for a foundation of Chinook, Summit, Warrior, Simcoe, Columbus, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Double dry hopping with Simcoe, Citra, Centennial and Chinook will bulldoze your olfactory senses with aromas of fresh resin, bright tangerines, and herbal dankness!

GABF 2013. Pours a golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, a bit resiny hoppy aroma with some grapefruit and mango. High boost, a touch boozy flavor with mango, pineapple, and other juicy fruits. A bit strong for my taste but not bad.

Aroma: Bright floral hop aromas. Appearance: Dark gold with rich white head. Taste: Heavy bitterness straight through with a creamy developed sweetness underneath. Palate: Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, long finish. Overall: The sweetness underneath was a surprise, and according to the bartender a result of merely 3-4 weeks of being tapped. Still, not an unpleasant beer.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, orange, pine and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear golden body and a white head. The aroma is sweeties and fruity, pine cones and pineapple. It’s full bodied and lightly warming, with very soft carbonation. Very bitter towards the end, with lots of green pine cones and some generic fruityness. Overall, sure nice, but maybe a tad bitter. 130813

Tap at Beachwood Seal Beach. Clear orange, creamy white foam. Excellent lacing. Nose is dank and juicy, a lot of cantaloupe, jackfruit, and subtle fumey brown alcohol, spices, funky durian Asian ripe melon. Taste is moderately boozy, rich, lots of juicy melon and limitless hop resin. Not sticky, more just juicy and rich. Enjoyed.

Draft - Rich pine, grapefruit with a balanced sweetness. Clear copper and a thin but persistent head. Big pine flavours, followed by a well balanced huge bitterness. A huge hop bomb with an appropriate body. Another nice beer from these guys.

Fresh batch at Beachwood in Long Beach. Pours a clear to dark golden with thin white head. Aroma is danky fruit. Lemon, pineapple, orange. Taste is not thick and is full of more fruit. Tangerine comes through a great deal, think Cuties. Pineapple juice, some dankness and not a heavy malt bill. Very drinkable 9%+ DIPA. Well done.
