Denver Jackhammer is Beachwood’s newest double IPA that relentlessly pounds out massive hop aromas and flavors. A light base of American 2-row malt paves the way for a foundation of Chinook, Summit, Warrior, Simcoe, Columbus, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Double dry hopping with Simcoe, Citra, Centennial and Chinook will bulldoze your olfactory senses with aromas of fresh resin, bright tangerines, and herbal dankness!

(Échantillonné au Bagby Fest): Juteux, terreux, massivement tropical et une corpulence suave et machable pour une inconditionnelle buvabilité. Un autre intéressant nectar de Beachwood.

Sample at the Long Beach brewpub. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium foamy ivory white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Keg at Pizza Port, Bressi Ranch, 14/11/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is juicy hops, pine, bitter grapefruit, straw. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, sticky mango, hoppy punch. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the close. Decent DIPA if a touch sweet in places.

Clear orange colored body, medium sized white head and soapy lacing. Orange, pineapple, pine, grapefruit, and perfume. Light sweetness and booziness throughout. Medium to full bodied, semi-sweetness throughout, a touch of booze in the middle, aggressive bitterness in the finish.

GABF 2013. Pours a golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, a bit resiny hoppy aroma with some grapefruit and mango. High boost, a touch boozy flavor with mango, pineapple, and other juicy fruits. A bit strong for my taste but not bad.

Aroma: Bright floral hop aromas. Appearance: Dark gold with rich white head. Taste: Heavy bitterness straight through with a creamy developed sweetness underneath. Palate: Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, long finish. Overall: The sweetness underneath was a surprise, and according to the bartender a result of merely 3-4 weeks of being tapped. Still, not an unpleasant beer.
