2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A deep caramel colored pour, off white head. Aroma has a hint of peat but is dominated by way too much malt. I felt like I was eating some spent grain when I drank this. Overpowering in my opinion.

3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed on tap as part of the Beachwood sampler at Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA. Appearance like red wine but with a thin white ring. Aroma is kind of crazy, itís non-apparent then starts to sting, and it smells like paint thinner. Taste is light, definitely tastes like a British ale, it has a candy like quality from the chocolate and caramel, but itís subservient. I do enjoy it though, complex with a lot going on but I canít pick many items apart.

Bruery Provisions Flight
Nicely carbed. Dark amber. Can definitely detect heat on the nose. Alcohol overpowers the caramel notes. Heat definitely not as prevalent on the tongue. Quite a tasty wee heavy. Lightly sweet. Nice roasted malts. Very smooth. Enjoyable, but not my favorite.
