"James" is a soulful and well-hopped American brown ale. A base of American 2-row malt is layered with British caramel and chocolate malts, creating a complex maltiness that leads into a toasted chocolate finish. Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, and Cascade hops provide a citrusy balance, while a silky mouthfeel rounds out the show. Hey!

Hyper fruité avec du poivre, du brown malt vigoureux et une bonne richesse caramélisée. L’amertume et la sécheresse sont adéquatement tranchants.

Aroma: Hints of caramel and chocolate malts, but faint. Appearance: Dark brown with tan head. Taste: Light-medium sweetness with hints of bitterness at the edges. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, chocolate finish. Overall: Reminds me of dark chocolate--bitter, sweet and energizing.

On tap at the brewpub. Brown body and a light beige head. Lightly roasted, with coffee, chocolate and a touch of hops in the aroma. Decent bitterness in the mouth, soft and quite dry. Roasted flavor with coffee and chocolate. Lasting finish. Sure a nice brown ale, going well with the bbq food at the brewpub. 130813
