Roasted flavor with coffee and chocolate. Lasting finish. Sure a nice brown ale, going well with the bbq food at the brewpub. 130813

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft - Roast malts dominate with some smoke. Dark amber with a thin beige head. Toasted malts, biscuit and some caramel in the finish. I don’t get the hips, but I do get a nice bitterness that cuts what would be a very sweet beer.
