COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American stout brewed with rye malt for a silky body, Kilgore is brewed with British roasted barley and chocolate malts for a roasty backbone with notes of coffee and cocoa. Hopped with Chinook, Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops for a citrusy Pacific Northwest punch

Brown black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Large chocolate, burnt coffee, a toucho smoke, and a good roasty malt bitter. Medium bodied and a tad fizzy for me. still solid

Solid, Tap at Beachwood LB, recommended by my server as her favorite, Lots of bitter chocolate and coffee, but still a good floral nose. Decent stout but just a weird finish to me.

On tap at Beachwood in LBC. Pours a deep black with slight tan head. Aroma is very coffee forward with some chocolate. Taste is again, roasted coffee and bitter chocolate. Not much sweetness here, dry. Nice.

Enjoyed on tap as a sampler at Beachwood BBQ in Long Beach, CA. Overall this was a great, solid stout with great chocolate and coffee notes, goes down lightly silky and smooth. Very solid.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma has pleasant notes of caramel, vanilla and roasted malt. The flavor is very chocolaty, rich and roasted. Beautiful. Nice creamy palate without being too hot or flabby. Great impy stout.

A very good imperial stout never mind a stout, chocolate, above average mouthfeel. Big IBU.

On tap. Black with a fizzy off white head. Roasted grain, burnt coffee and dark chocolate aroma and taste with vanilla notes and a dry bitter finish. Bright medium to full bodied oily palate.

Nice roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Thick black color with dense tan head. The taste is rich and full sweetness up front but balanced out with some heavy bitterness on the back end and finishes very dry. The body is full and more smooth than creamy and has long dry bitter finish. Overall great example of the style, nice bitterness to round it out and worth trying.

Tap at Beachwood Long Beach. Deep black pour with red highlights. Webby, coffee foam. Nose is milk chocolate dessert, sweeter pudding. Taste is spot on rich, melted chocolate, big bitterness, waxy crayon. Heavy balancing IBUs. Awesome. Silky, rich, bitter cocoa.
