COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Beachwood Quattro.
Jean-Quad Van Damme is an inspired Belgian-style quadruppel. A mosaic of German and Belgian malts are melded with specialty Belgian "candi" syrup. The result is a wide swath of dark fruit flavors with accents of cognac. Floral hops from Germany provide the perfect balance to Quattro’s impossibly complex maltiness. Fermented with out favorite Belgian yeast, this beer clocks in at 11.3% ABV.

Tap. Pours clear dark brown with a medium, creamy light tan head with medium retention and good lacing. Aroma is dates and figs with toast, nutty, and caramel malt with light spicy hops and peppery alcohol. Some alcohol. Flavors are medium sweet, and malty, candi sugar, alcohol, pear and currants. Finishes dry, but with a good amount of alcohol-sweetness.

Poured from the tap at Beachwood it has a dark amber color in the glass. The aroma has caramel, butterscotch and candy. The taste has roasted malts, sugar, caramel and sweet brandy. I was surprised at the 11.3% ABV, it was hidden well. Smooth finish.

Clear amber pour with an off-white head. Nose has a nice fruit and candy sweetness. Plenty of banana, bubblegum, caramel, and brown sugar. Very subtle spice notes. Intensely sweet flavor with tons of sugar, grape, and bubblegum. Really nice banana notes, mild alcohol, yeast, and spices. Nice toasted malt note in the background.
