COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rose Royce is a wildly unique Belgian-style saison. A light body is crafted using German pilsner, rye, and wheat malts. It’s then delicately hopped with German Magnum and Hallertauer hops for soft herbal notes. The beer is finished with local sage honey, grains of paradise for light pepper accents, and several pounds of red rose petals. Fermented with our favorite Belgian yeast, Rose Royce is a uniquely floral and fresh beer. Lively carbonation and a dry finish allows for intricate nuaces to shine through.

On tap at Seal Beach. It pours golden yellow with a nice white head. The aroma is fruity and floral with mild spicy yeast. The flavor is very clean and floral with a hint of tartness. Very nice.

Pours straw color with a really phenolic nose. Band aids and spice. Flavor is more of the same. Clove and black pepper. Decent but would like a lot fruitier of a beer.

Not much head, nor lacing throughout. This beer tasted good, but it didn’t smell or taste like a saison. It actually had some interesting phenolic smells/tastes going on. A tad smoky underneath, plus a nice grainy malt smell, not much citrus or belgian characterstics. Most of the aroma had a strange german thing going on... I know? It just didn’t have the usual qualities but overall it was a decent beer.

Pours a relatively clear golden color with a tall white head. A really nice aroma to this. Plenty of floral character from the roses and lots of peppery qualities as well. Hints of honey and fruity esters along with some yeast and bread. As nice as the nose is, the flavor is rather bland and lackluster. Just sort of malty with most of the flavor being cracker sort of malts. It does have a nice dry feel, though. Only lightly floral on the palate.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a thick, white, creamy and retentive head. Aromas are very floral, grainy (malty), spicy, mild citrus, bready and some cedar. Flavors are cedar, spicy, floral, earthy, citrus, and rosewater. Medium to full bubbles, dry with a lighter body. Floral and malty. Quite decent.
