COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All beers are created equal, some more equal than others. The Equalizer is an explosive double IPA that is sure to please all five senses equally. Brewed with American 2-row malt and just a kiss of pale caramel malt, this beer showcases five hop varieties in all their resiny splendor. The Equalizer is triple dry hopped with Summit, Chinook, Centennial, Columbus, and Cascade for a massive aroma; the final addition is done with whole hop flowers in the serving tank so that your pint departs the hops just seconds before it’s served.

On tap at The Bruery Provisions. Appetizing hoppy aroma. Light orange colour with a little white head.Big big IBU, the malt was very much a secondary show. White lace in my glass. Difficult to drink because of the palate shredding. Certainly spot on the style.

Bright tangy pine citrus nose. Solid but not sticky body - hides 9% very well. Lots of ragged tropical fruit - reminds me of blind pig. Very hoppy and a bit spicy. Pretty well done except for the slight astrinceny on the finish.

Enjoyed on tap as part of the Beachwood sampler at Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA. Appearance is cloudy gold with thin frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is ridiculously hoppy, all kinds including citrus, floral, grassy, and ’gym locker’...it’s all there and you can pick apart each one. Taste throws me off...the aroma is happier than the taste, which is unusual. It’s very smooth for a dIPA, hides the ABV well. Nicely done.

Tulip at Toronado SD. Phone rate. Gold with a one finger creamy head, clinging and down to a staying film. Citrus hops dominate with some green dry hops, tropical fruit follow. Light caramel in the back. Flavor has the dry hops right up front with all of the aforementioned fruity notes. There is a little cotton candy sweetness that can’t quite stand up to the bitterness, which peaked at a 7 in the dry finish--a tinge of alcohol noted. Medium full body with light to moderate carbonation. Very tasty, great dry and bright hop aroma and flavors.

Bruery Provisions Flight Nice floral bouquet. Good carbonation. Nice lacing. Lingering sharp bitterness a bit pervasive. Overpowering in some respects.

On tap at the Brewpub. Pours with a clear golden body with a lasting white head. Aromas are floral, resiny, grapefruit, citrus, dank and a bit of caramel. Flavors are a touch sweet, bitter throughout. Some noticeable warmth. Candied orange peel, citrus, grapefruit with a bitter balance overall. A touch sticky, warming, lively carbonation. Finishes moderately dry.

I had this on tap at beachwod in long beach. This clear golden pour has a nice hop flavor and good malt balance.

A: The beer pours a slight chill haze and two fingers of sticky white head which leaves excellent lacing. S: A solid aroma of pine and grapefruit as well as a touch of tropical fruit. There isn’t much malt aroma to it, just a little bit of bread and toffee. There is a very intense floral quality to go along with all the pine notes. T: A pretty nice balance between the bitterness and the hop flavor. Moderate citrus notes, mostly grapefruit and tangerine, but just a ton of pine. Decent floral notes as well as some light malt and alcohol on the finish. M: The body is medium with a medium carbonation and a lingering bitterness. O: This is a pretty solid Double IPA, but I would rather have a glass of Melrose.
