COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thrillseeker is a "West Coast-style" India pale ale that is sure to push your senses to the edge. It starts with a base of American 2-row malt and a restrained dose of extra light caramel malt to let the hops punch though. It’s then generously hopped with Chinook, Summit, Centennial, and Simcoe for a massive citrus and tropical hop profile. Thrillseeker is dry hopped with Simcoe and Chinook for an über fresh resiny aroma.

Been waiting to taste this...not overhyped! Great example of the "west coast" style. Didn’t pair this with anything, just wanted to enjoy.

On draft. Aroma of lemony cat piss. Flavor of lemon with some toasted malt. The lemony helps it rise above average.

Bottle shared at Ed’s like 2 months ago (I’m so up to date on my rates). Poured a not so great looking flat straw gold body with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma is dank, cat piss, wet pine needles and old citrus. Medium body overal with average to slightly stronger carbonation and a ncie mouthfeel overall. Flavor isn’t as dank as the aroma but notes of citrus rind, fresh hop cones, and dry bread dominate. Solid beer here.

Bottle split at Black IPA Friday, picked up at Public Beer and Wine Longbeach, 09/05/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is bitter pine, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, juicy hops, light spice. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, straw, pine resin, mangos,:tangy mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in a lightly drying close. Solid well balanced west coast IPA - super drinkable.

Leighton 10K tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin. Yellow gold beer, light haze. Small bubbly white head. Palate is light and airy with very fine carbonation. Airy pale malt, mildly sweet. Resinous hops, little skunk. Good hop spice. Touches of lemon balm and pine and a little citric peel. Light dry finish. Bitterish linger. Caused 2 days of bickering between Colin and Paul. What you could call a room divider!

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Coleen for this freshie. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Great nose, lots of grapefruit, some tangerine, lemon rind. Light to medium sweet flavor with strong bitter grass, pine needles, lots of rind, pith. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Quite bitter on the finish, more grass, rindy citrus, light warming alcohol. The bitterness in the aftertaste is a touch abrasive. Beautiful aroma but the flavor doesn’t follow on well enough. Decent.

Bottle @ Chez Bruce. Light gold, small head. Super fresh, bright citrus. Candied apricot and honey. Countryside meadow. Taste is a bit more abrasive from the juicy fruit nose. A bit of white onion. Peppery hops. Tropical undergrowth. Medium body, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014 Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is fresh, juniper, floral, lemon, lime and light sweetness. The taste is bitter, boozy, floral, peppery, lemon peel, grapefruit and floral notes. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Booze is too much of a dominant factor. Nose is rather good, but the taste doesn’t live up to it.

Bottle thanks to clear orange with no head. The aroma is fruity hop and pine. Medium mouthfeel with nice light fruity hop, strong bitteness and dry finish. Good.
