COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thrillseeker is a "West Coast-style" India pale ale that is sure to push your senses to the edge. It starts with a base of American 2-row malt and a restrained dose of extra light caramel malt to let the hops punch though. It’s then generously hopped with Chinook, Summit, Centennial, and Simcoe for a massive citrus and tropical hop profile. Thrillseeker is dry hopped with Simcoe and Chinook for an über fresh resiny aroma.

Bottle: My first Beachwood bottle - A Cali/trade extra - so here goes: It pours clear golden with a modest white head into this glass - theres some light spotting presence here, for what that’s worth. It retains... fairly poorly honestly. I enjoyed the aroma - theres nice tropical / citrus and hop dank here. The flavor profile, however, falls a little flat , unfortunately - It starts hop bittering, light pine, with mineral water coming through too heavily - it fades into more tropical notes moving forward, with a light infusion of caramel as stated - There’s better out there, but I have no clue on the price point here

Bomber dated 022315. Orangeish yellow. Aroma of hop resin and pine sol. Maybe a touch of dank. Taste is a very bitter oily hop. Finish has a subtile bitterness. Not bad.

Clear light amber pour with a nice white head and a bit of lacing. Nice citrus and herbal hop nose. Papaya and guava all over the place. Big bitter hops, clean finish with a hint of cracker. Dry.

Bottle... Pours mostly clear and amber with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Terrific retention. The aroma features notes of tropical fruit and resiny, peppery hops. Full-bodied with soft carbonation. Heavily bitter flavor and a lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz!

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2014 A citrusy west coast IPA. Lemon zest, grapefruit, crisp malt, a little sweet, just a solid all-rounder, but not incredible by any means.

Bottle: Thanks, Jason. First Beachwood experience. Semi-hazy, burnt golden sunburst color with a gray-tinted, bubbly film covering the top. Aroma of juicy passion fruit, mango, mild citrus, & a "different", almost berry-esque fruitiness that I’m going to pinpoint as pomegranate (go me!). Underbody of grass & just a hint of crystalline malt sweetness. Taste is definitely on the dryer side of things (which is good). Grassy notes, bitter pine, mild crackery malt, & a bit of perfume. The finish shows more of that herbal citrus peel character that you typically get from Simcoe with a strong resinous & tongue scraping bitterness thanks to the Chinook (I’m guessing). A touch of white pepper, lightly toasted bread, & lingering citrus peel in the finish. Beyond solid, very nice!
