On tap at The Bruery Provisions. A Russian Imperial stout with lots of coffee. Black with a small head. Very lacy. Dark fruit. A tad sourish but otherwise a good representation of the style.

On tap @ The Bruey Provisions. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma is espresso, roasted malt, chocolate and some vanilla alcohol. Taste is loaded with dark coffee and bitter roasted malt, some semi-sweet cocoa rounds it out and a bit of alcohol heat. Full body with soft carbonation and a thick, chewy mouth feel. Really nice coffee Imp Stout, very thick and strong. Got a bit harsh towards the end.

Enjoyed on tap as part of the Beachwood sampler at Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA. I tried to go to Hollingshead, so I walked there from my hotel which was 2 miles away on a Saturday night, at 5:30pm, and it was closed....F that place and their stupid Packer fandom. Anyways, walked the extra mile to Bruery and was pleasantly surprised. Appearance is really dark, oil like consistency, dark tan head that rims around the glass. Aroma of espresso, mocha, chocolate, cream, roasted malt, a bit of vanilla. Taste is über decadent, chocolate consumes the palate, I can rattle off a bunch more ingredients, including dark fruit, cream, coffee, light bitterness, very smooth and masks the high ABV. Almost perfect.

Bruery Provisions Flight
Small head. Lightly carbonated. Pitch black pour. Wonderfully smooth blend of roasted malt with black coffee bitterness. Quite enjoyable. Reminiscent of when I first drank my first glass of speedway.

(Growler, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours an opaque black body with a spare brown head. Aroma of roasted grain, dark chocolate, coffee, anise, vanilla, raisins, and molasses. Flavor of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, dark fruit, and caramel with a dry, boozy finish.

On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours dark brown with a brown head. The aroma has lots of chocolate, toasted malt and unique earthiness. The flavor is very chocolaty with more burnt toast, caramel and espresso in the finish. Very balanced and insanely drinkable for such a huge beer. Not your average imperial stout. Loved it.

Appearance: Pours a dark viscous brown with a tan film.
Aroma: Big dark chocolate, coffee, roast, black cherry.
Taste: Bitter chocolate punch, dark roast coffee. Dark fruits, espresso.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, not syrupy, not "thick" just perfect.
Overall: God damn, best beer brewed in Los Angeles County.

Black in color with a small khaki head. Rich espresso notes on the nose along with tons of roasted malt and molasses. A bit of dark, bitter chocolate and some burnt sugar notes. Maybe a touch of vanilla. The flavor has a lot of roast to it which plays well with the coffee. Heavy on the dark chocolate and a subtle earthiness. Moderately sweet from molasses flavors. Full bodied with smooth, medium carbonation.
