3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Beachwood BBQ Long Beach for their Anniversary Party. Low haze straw pour, bright and glowing. Low carbonation, weaker foam. Nose is quite excellent- proper Czech lager bright hop nose with cereal, biscuit, and pale grist. Taste is a pretty brash hop bomb, soapy, big lemon peel, hints of apple. Tannic, dry finish. Ultra drying palate with the heavy bitterness leaves the drinker with a long, aggressively bitter aftertaste. Not really sessionable or refreshing like it should be with just intense bitterness. Still, enjoyable as a more "India Pale Lager" of sorts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap, several glasses. Pours with a hazy yellow hued body with a large and lasting white head. Aromas are grainy, toasty, bready, soft malt, lightly herbal and clean yeast wise. Flavors are strongly bitter with some lingering bitterness in the finish. Lightly floral, a touch yeasty, strong bready malt. For some reason the bitterness is more apparent in this than in Loma (at least for me). Lively carbonation, dry and crisp.
I prefer regular Loma to this.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Tried mainly to get another Zwickel rating, but it was surprisingly good! Pours clear yellow, large white head, nice lacing. Aroma is grain, grass, biscuit. Flavor is the same, just a touch of sweetness and a light grassy bitterness. Light body, refreshing.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy golden orange pour with a white head. Big floral and spicy hop aroma. Hints of orange, nice earthy notes, biscuit, bread, and a touch of cracker. Sweet malt flavor of bread and biscuit. A bit of orange, lots of floral, spicy, and earthy hops. Hints of grass, a moderate bitterness, yeast, and some fruity esters.
