3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 21, 2010
Bottle direct from the brewery (thanks Roger!), drunk 18th July 2010. Pitch black with a thick finger of beige head. Slightly sour nose with lots of dark fruits. In the mouth there’s good roasted coffee notes, dark rye bread and bitter high cocoa chocolate. Molasses and dark toffee too. Nice weight and the strength is expertly concealed. A good dark ale for winter time.
