Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned;
This ale uses the brambling cross hops which give it a distinct flavour. The name is given in tribute to all those who walk the wonderful South Downs Way from Winchester to Beachy Head and celebrate accordingly.

bottle with ethereal. smells like walking into a hop-fest at a hospital. very very medicinal but not in a bad way. ambercolour, no head. Flavours similar to nose: dettol, hansaplast, flowers (for the nurse...), sharp, clear hops. a bit of BDSM for your tastebuds...

A Mes rate: bottle at Chris O’s Ha Ha Ha Ha Gimme the Cheese Tasting.
Flat amber. Badly bottled and pretty much out of order. I didn’t find it quite so offensive as the others but it’s clearly infected.

Bottle @ Chris o.
Pours amber with next-to-no head. Aroma is very soapy - very unpleasant. Clearly infected - must try again, when the issues are settled.

Bottle purchased from the brewery, drunk with renffisch on 18th March 2008. Pours a dark amber with relatively little carbonation. The Brambling Cross hops give the beer a wonderful, ultra-medicinal aroma and flavour that makes it instantly recognisable. The palate is smooth and I’m really regretting only buying a half dozen bottles. I think I may have to add to this rate once I’ve drunk a few more :)
