blipp (818), Grand Island, New York, USA May 2, 2008 Draft at Beale Street Cafe. Poured black/red with a creamy beige head. Aroma is creamy with notes of vanilla and coffee. Body is way too thin for a stou, but creamyt. Flavor is creamy milk chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Very low on the bitterness. This is close to being very good but doesn’t quite make it. Very good though. GTown (126), New York, USA Mar 19, 2006 Pours black with a thin head. Excellent balance of chocolate and oats. One of the best dry stouts I have ever had. Creamy mouthfeel. Goes down great after the superb food at Beale Street. shadey (1343), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 10, 2005 Updated: Aug 22, 2007On Tap at the Beale Street Cafe in Rochester. Dark black color with a white head. Smooth and creamy over the tongue, which can be attributed to the nitrogen. Nothing too strong in the flavor which I am sure can also be attributed to the nitrogen. Weak coffee and weak chocolate flavors. zach8270 (1421), Henrietta, New York, USA Sep 26, 2004 (draft @ 2004 Autumn Festival of Ales - Honeoye Falls, NY) Dark black color with a thick tan head. Creamy coffee aroma with hints of nuts and some cloves. Taste reflected the same, very creamy coffee and roasted malts with a smooth and slightly hoppy finish. Very creamy mouthfeel. Quite a good stout. Sammy (3135), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 27, 2004 Above average stout with a coffee and subtle chocolate and nuts taste. Way above the standard Guiness owing to its balance and smoothness, and something at the end of a salty barbecue meal.
