Classic Irish stout, tasted from a can with nitro widget. Thick, very dense and milky, brownish light beige foam, very stable (as if it were tapped from a nitro tap). Colour very dark reddish brown, almost black, clear. Aroma coffee-like as expected, toast, tobacco, peppery hops, dried plums, chocolate, port wine, peat, even a milkish accent; taste begins slightly sourish (vague lemon impression), dark malty, not sweet but fully malty, creamy mouthfeel with a fine, medium carbonation, drying out and becoming more oily, strong presence of iron, near the end sharply roasted bitterness (black coffee), still accompanied by the subtle sourishness from the onset. I prefer this way over Guinness or Murphy’s.

Black, frothy tan head, a touch thin in mouth but medium bidyand carbonation, roast, roast barley. Suspect this was maybe from the Murphy’s tap so plan to rerate...

Nitro can. The beer starts great creamy and smooth. The mainpart is smooth, malty and dry. Highly drinkable with nice roasted hints. Hints of liquorice and dry roasted grain. Espresso, Dark chocolate. For 4.1% quite flavourful. The aftertaste is smooth, dry, malty and tends to be slightly thin, which is covered by the dark and roasted body quite well.
Very nice dry stout! 13/12/13/13

On tap at Dublin airport, black with a big light tan head, faint coffee and ash on the nose, creamy texture, fairly dry and bitter, very faint treacle toffee notes. Roasty and with a touch of hoppy bitterness.

Poured a black color with roast malt and light chocolate in the aromas. Flavors were creamy, light roast some chocolate and earth. Decent stout overall.

Its body is black as night and opaque with a typical nitro head on top. The head is a creamy light tan color, very thick and very creamy. It has very good retention and makes cool lacing on the glass as I drink. The aroma has heavy bready malt character with mild roasted notes and some mild mineral like hops. The flavor is bready, creamy and sweet with dark roasted malts up front. This quickly dries out with more roasted coffee like bitterness and hop bitterness taking over. (There is much less nitro taste here than some other nitro stouts I have tried.) The finish is fairly clean with some mineral like hops bitterness quickly fading off the tongue. The texture is thin yet somehow very smooth and creamy too, with a light to medium body. Of the big three nitro stouts (Guinness, Murphy’s and Beamish) Beamish is my favorite

Runny and creamy like a Guinness, but with a a bit more of an aftertaste that is a bit more earthy and roasted. Very sessionable.

Had to try the cork stout when there. Seems more roast character than Guinness. Slightly heavier feel. Good stout, would certainly drink again!
