Very roast and toast for an irish red, seemed to make this beer more bitter that it was supposed to be, low malt aroma and low malt flavor, seemed dry due to the roatinss, quick drinker but too much on roast

440ml nitro can pours amber in color with a 2 finger white head that retained well and settled to some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and earthy hops. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with an earthy hop bitterness. A medium body and light carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty good ale.

440ml can. So, one St. Patrick’s Day probably 10 years ago I went down to the NSLC and bought every Irish beer in the store. The results did not go well. I found this beer to be watery and grainy tasting and it left me feeling bloated and gross. Not sad to see it has been discontinued.

No 581 Rated on tap at the Polish seaside, Beamish glass, 500 ml. Very nice deep reddish amber, gently carbonated and clear in texture body with very nice, thick head beige in colour and almost creamy in texture, rather small in size. Aroma is of some gentle nuts with red fruit accents and flowery hoppyness on top contrasting with clearly distinguishable malt at the background. Very smooth, easy going, silky pleasant on palate and drinkable but not that impressive or interesting as some other Irish Ales I’ve tried. Lacking kind of spicyness and character.

Clear reddish amber, settles just like a Guinness, big lasting white head. weak aroma of ripe fruit, some malt, hops and pines developes in mouth.Sweet adn short bitter finish.

I had this beer on tap at the airport in Shannon, Ireland. I was on my way home from Iraq and hadn’t had a beer in 7 months, so I’m undoubtedly biased, but this was the best beer I’ve ever had. I’d like to taste it again to get a more realistic opinion, but they don’t sell it in America

Amber color; creamy head (what else?). Smooth and with some caramel flavor, very light mild chocolate too, but too simple, also because of the nitro.

Draft, reddish coloured beer with light carbonation and a medium white head. Lighter malty sweet, little herby aroma. Full palate. Finish is sweet bitter, little , very nice one.

this is a nice creamy yet nutty brew. there is a pronounced bitter to play along with a moderate sweetness. a nice looking ruby pour. carbonation seems low due to the creaminess. it has a place and time. touch of fruit is discernable.
