Commercial Description:
This is an English brown ale, deep brown in colour and full of malty flavour. Brown Bear is 5.5% alcohol and has just the right amount of hops added to offer this beer the perfect balance of taste.

Body is medium brown with a nice tan head that laced pretty nicely. Aroma was sweet and quite hoppy. Flavour is quite sweet with a caramel flaour to it. Finish is sort of dry but the feeling in the mouth is quite acidic.

Brown colour. Thick head. Sweet aroma out of the bottle. Stronger hops than expected. Body is a little thin. Decent but unspectacular beer from thes small brewer.

Slightly hoppy aroma with a fruity tinge. Pours amber brown with a thin head. Palate is a bit thin. The finish is also a bit light. An ok beer for casual quaffing but not a standout.

Along the spectrum of brown ales, from Rogue's flavorfulness to Newcastle's mildness, this falls about midspectrum. It's sweeter than most and yet has a mildness that could make it a session brown.

I’m not a fan of brown ales, but I didn’t mind this one. Light carmel malt nose. Malt flavor throughout, no noticeable hops
