Bottle pours dark ruby, large milk frothish like head (off-white), and fantastic lacing. Lacing almost appears like pancake batter, its that thick. Roasted malts on the nose, extremely light hop tones as well. Continued roasted maltiness on the tongue, but the mouthfeel was a bit thin. An abrupt sweet & sour characteristic emerges halfway through. By the finish, and as the beer warms, the sweet & sour effect diminishes. Slight hop bitterness on the finish. Overall, looks great, smells decent, but the flavor is a bit off. Not bad, but just not quite there.
