5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Oct 24, 2004 Bottle pours a fairly cloudy amber, large foamy off-white head that leaves behind sticky lacing, with low carbonation. Slightly malty nose, sweet, but I am getting a strange PB&J like aroma. Bready, yet with preserves as well. A brisk smokey bitterness up front, very fleating, with burnt malts to follow. The taste flows back into a mild bitterness and a slightly sour over-ripened grapefruit like flavor. While it doesn’t sound all that interesting, its not bad. Medium bodied with a fairly average mouthfeel. Interesting... this actually kinda reminds me of a "small" beer.
