Red. Who’d thought? Creamy head left quickly turning into a spotty head an lacing. Caramel with a touch of roast and bitter hops with some citrus. The roast comes through more and the bitterness is stronger. Some caramel and bitter orange as well. Musky malt finish with touches of bitterness. Average.

Bottle pours a red-amber witha modest off wihite head. Nice full malt aroma and some hops that are a bit floral. Nice balance of rich sweet malts and not too bitter hops. Full feel on the palate. Nice.

The Bear Creek Red is unusual in the sense that it is more of a malt heavy Red - especially considering the Reds typical of the Northwest area. A good layer of caramel is lying under everything, with little wisps of hops now and then. Very palatable, but not the most flavorful beer in the world.

Amber with a slight cloud to it. Super caramelly aroma, (butterscotch cookies) with hints of apple and "flowers". Toasted malt on the begining of hte taste lightening up to the moderate bitter finish. A good brew for you Fat Tire drinking friends and you.
