Black with a viscous tan head. Aroma has a light touch of oxidation, with dry blackened malts and a vinous sweetness. Medium body and oh so smooth mouthfeel. Taste starts with a Port wine sweetness and caramelized malts, then turns a little dry with earthy blackened malts in the finish. After seven years in a dark hole i expected little more than a sour drain pour from this bottle, instead, it blew my mind. Fucking incredible drink here. Wow.

Jet black color with nice lasting dark tan head. Aromas of strong alcohol and wet forest floor. Taste has some oatmeal, sharp hop bitterness (which isn’t very pleasant). I didn’t care for this stuff at all.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2003 Dark brown color with a fairly dark head. Strong roasted malt aroma, with a little coffee, chocolate, esters, and caramel. Little bitterness and slightly sweet. Just strong coffee and burnt malt characteristics mark out this brew.
