3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle into a English pint glass. Pours a hazy brown with a very thick off white head and lacing that sticks to the glass. Aroma is quite hoppy with a hint of sweetness. Taste is very hop forward with some sweetness. Below average carbonation that leaves the palate cleanly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Murky brown pour, Spiced mince pie nose with c-hops. Molasses prominent in the flavor, but the hops come on too strong. Why did I pay seven bucks for a 12oz bottle of this?

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a brown with reddish tint to the edges, the head was frothy and beige. Aroma was nice cascade hops and subtle malts. Nice blend of malts, hints of chocolate and fresh hops that linger through the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2013.03.05 - Bear Republic / Fat Headís / Stone TBA - 12oz bottle in pint glass. Vintage 2012.
Aroma: ver nice, hops tempered by something... a bit spicy a bit malty.
Appearance: Pours around 19-20 on SRM scale. Deep caramel brown. Ridiculous head, almost half the glass. Sticky and foamy head/carbonation.
Taste: Hops clearly there but very well balanced with sweet spiciness. Caramel taste and molasses. Not as roasty or chocolatey as most American Brown Ales. Not as hoppy as, say, Brekles Brown. Nice.
Aroma 7/10, Appearance 4/5, Taste 8/10, Palate 3/5, Overall 15/20

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz (STONE) bottle. Vintage 2012. Bottled 02/12. Pours light brown color, light khaki colored fizz. Aroma of brown sugary malts. Toasted oat cereal scent. Light chocolate and even some earth in the nose. Dry flavor. Some toasted malts along with some earthy hops. Tastes of the woods. Smells better than the dry flavor of the medium bodied beer. Its a tick...
