12 oz bottle. Clear dark brown pour, light tan head. Sweet malts, nutty, bitter citrusy hops, notes of chocolate, and a bit herbal. Like a strong brown, nother special, but still a nice beverage.

Crushed at Lyons Fork. Saw the collaboration and decided I must try this.12 oz bottle pours a murky dark brown with a light bubbly head. Fruity, lightly hoppy aroma, with a medicinal hint. Dark fruits, molasses, a bit of a hop bite.

Not much going on with the aroma. Faint hop smell. Tast is a sweel brown ale, more hops than typical for the style. A bit of smoke and maple syrup. My forst thought was maple syrup of beer. Overall a decent beer.

Tap at Stone Bistro. It pours cloudy brown, with a thin off-white head. The nose is grass, pine, lime pith, hay, caramel and Turkish Delight. The taste is wood, grass, leather, hay, roasted malt, caramel, coffee beans and citrus pith, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent, if a bit unexciting.

A huge aroma of citrusy hops and esters (ethyl acetate-nail polish remover) erupt from a pillow white head atop a clear mahogany body. Medium body of roasted malt and dextrins quickly morphs into pleasantly bitter grapefruity hops. Fantastic cold but the esters and fusels are really taking over as this beer warms up. Hmmm...

bottle pours a deep, rich brown with finger of sticky, lasting off white head. Aroma is sweet, with sweet aspects of both malts and hops coming through, pine sap, honey, brown sugar, molasses, nectar, and a touch of bitter citrus. Flavor has bitter citrus notes but succumbs to a sweet finish - notes of clover honey and maple syrup lingering. Pretty unique brew and quite tasty, full bodied.

Pour from a bottle gave a light brown murky color. A little bit of sweet malt and brown sugar on the nose. Medium body beer. Flavor of toasted sweet malt that is quickly over powered by the bitter hops. The one dimensional hop flavor lasts to the finish in a dry fashion. Not much flavor retention. Pretty routine.

This poured a murky medium brown color with a biege head. Aroma was roasted nuts, medium citrus hps, some lighlty roasted malts and dark fruits. Flavor was fruity hops, medium bitterness both from hops, and roast, some caramel and nuttiness too. A really nice example of a brown ale

12 oz from Bev 4 Less. Pours a cloudy hue between root beer and homemade cider. Little bit of white foam on top. Aroma is strong of brown sugar, molasses, and something like apples. Taste is nice and malty, with a strong hop presence. The sweetness of the nose is gone in the palate here, at least until the very end. This is a wildly complex beer for being a super-brown... interesting and subtle. Hops, then bitter, then sweet, then supersweet... Thatís the palate progression and, I have to say, itís pretty damn amazing. Good stuff. Love these collaboration beers.

Bottle @ home. Hazy, reddish brown appearance with a big, light brown head. Rich caramelized sugary, molasses, brown sugar, fairly piney/resiny hoppy aroma. Pretty big brown sugary, molasses, a little goopy, piney, earthy hoppy flavor. Hmmm, this one is a bit all over the place with a rich, syrupy, caramelized sugar element and then the resiny, piney hoppy element. Bleh.
