On tap at the Blind Tiger’s VSK3 event. Pours a hazy golden orange with a thick yellowed white head. Crisp citrus, a little bit of pineapple. Amazing given that this was the 08. It’s definitely held up well. Sweet caramel, just a bit oxidized. Long grapefruit bitterness.

Sep 22, 2009 Aroma is great. Juicy tropical hops. Mango, grapefruit with a balanced caramel malt sweetness. Some mild pepper spice with a nice floral hop presence. Flavor is sweet with tropical hops, oily and nice, full bodied.

Jul 27, 2009 On tap. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh peachy aroma. Quite full-bodied, lots of caramel and fruit and again distinct peachy hops that leave a solid dose of bitterness. 080709

Jul 22, 2009 From tap at Breakwater. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Hoppy and light wooden aroma. Slight roasted note. Solid hoppy, sweet dense caramel and mild fruity and solid hoppy. Smooth and fruity finish.

Jun 20, 2009 On tap at Barley’s Smokehouse. Semi-opaque amber pour with a medium beige head. Lots of orange in the nose with some sweet malt. Orange flavor up front, giving way to sweet malt and hoppy bitter finish with a bit of spiciness.

Jun 11, 2009 Updated: Oct 6, 2009On tap at Bulldog. Huge citrusy, caramel nose. Both are extremely well defined and stand out massively in their own right. Big piney start, then comes a thick malty caramel mouth with citrusy notes hitting the back of the mouth. Everything just stand out here so well. Where as an English bitter is about subtlety, but hops and malt playing specific parts this is about in your face with everything being there. Lasting piney, citrusy finish. Yummmmmm. If you want to know West Coast IPAs, this is a great example.

Jun 7, 2009 On tap @ Stone - Pours a clear amber color with a thin off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is very floral. Flavor is lightly sweetened fruity esters and a good bit of floral and pine hops. Smooth and easy drinking. Medium body. A very good beer.

May 21, 2009 Aroma came on as strictly pine, seems to be the trend lately, to have a very concentrated sharp hop aroma, flavor is again sharp spicey hopping with a distinct but very meek sweet caramel backing. Definitely for hopheads only, drinkable enough for a couple at a sitting
