UPDATED: JUN 3, 2015 651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled, ivory head, with heavy lacing, over a slightly hazy, tiny particle laden, amber (SRM 10) body......nose is light pine, resin, licorice, fruits from the hops, cereal from the malts, balance to the hops.....taste is sweet with licorice, pine, resin, pineapple, leading to a pine, resin bitter finish, balanced back by the floral sweetness.....mouth feel, heavy of medium body, sticky, alcohol present, carbonation high adding an occasional creamy note. This is delicious, well done beer, with great hop complexity. Now, it is time, to critique. It is definitely sweet, and the sweetness is toward the floral honey, simple sugar end of the spectrum. It lacks the toffee/caramel notes from other points of the malts. The hops were deftly handled. This would not be a good beer to have in a Utah desert on a summer day, as it is too rich, but on a cold night, a different result. A change in the malts, with the goal of greater attenuation, to decrease sweetness, perhaps more caramel/crystal would work towards an even better beer. BJCP 9/2/16/4/8

22 oz bottle. Misty amber orange with whitish foam. Nose is pineapple, orange, spruce and toffee. Medium to full body with a tingle getting resiny. Taste is pink grapefruit, pine, soft melon and marmalade with a peppery finish. Great hop melange without going over the top.

Aroma of pine resin, citrus and hops, pours a cloudy caramel colour with a lasting white well laced head. Taste of hops and pine resin with a dry medium body feel with a mildly bitter finish.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a dense white head which lingers......aroma of pine, citrus, bread, caramel...quite enjoyable.....taste is a fabulous mouthfeel with a hit of citrus, grassy notes, sweet bread, tailing off into a comfortable bitterness and a touch more citrus. Quite nice.

22 oz bottle from Growlers to Go The D/IPA poured a cloudy light amber with an off white foamy head and lacing. A fruity aroma greets you with some resin as well. This is a complex ale with flavors running from floral hops to resin with very little feel for the alcohol present. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. The sip pulls into a bitter finish leaving floral hops in the wake that continue to dry the tongue after the swallow disappears.

Pours hazy amber with a fat and foamy off white head that hangs awhile. Aroma is fantastic sweet tropical citrus and caramel. Taste dials down the sweetness considerably. Biscuity malts undergird peach and grapefruit citrus flowing into a nice bitter finish. Really well-balanced. If you like your IPAs more bitter than sweet and with a high gravity wallop, this is the beer for you. Outstanding.

Lots of citrus with a good dose of florals in this, making a good disguise for the booze. Pours hazy golden with decent head and lacing. Finish is pretty bitter with some tang. Tap at Churchkey.
