(Old BA rate - Oct. ’08) Hazy orange in color as expected from the style, with a thin white head. Pine and citruisy hop bitterness. Solid malt sweetness to back it up. Wow, hops and more hops with more of a piney/resiny type of hop presence. Still a solid malt backing. Pretty fat mouthfeel, and a little less viscous than the Mach 10 the brewery offers. Hugely drinkable for the style, and had no trouble at all with the sample. Overall, I really hope that I can find this in bottle form, not that I think it would ever come out...one can wish.

on tap @ Capones Pours a cloudy orange/copper with small head which thins quickly. Lacing clings to the glass throughout. The nose is pine, caramel and citrus. Good carbonation is evident. While this IS a DIPA, I love the bright flavors of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and pine. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium-bodied. There is a nice mild bitterness in the finish. Drinkability? Hell, yeah. I would suggest you try this great, balanced example of a DIPA. I will again for sure.

Draft @ OB’s HLS in longmont. Nose is prickly pineapple, resiny pine and a pleasant ’wet earth’ backend. Flavor is the nose, though some sweeter oranges show up and the earthy hops are more eveident, though the resiny bitterness is still king. A really nice drinking beer. A pleasant departure from their typically fruitier offerings. Would order again, which I guess rates a point or two.

Draught at Greens. Pours a nice, hazy orange with a medium off white head a some lacing. Sweet, citrusy pine aroma dominates. Flavor begins with sweet citrus fruit (grapefruit and maybe a bit of limon) and tails off into a delicious hoppy, piney finish. A strong brew but not as impressive as I was hoping when I purchased it.
