Wonderful nose with a lovely fresh west coast hop funk and a nice understated toastiness. Caramel, white bread, and multiple layers of hops. A little hot for its alcohol percentage. Finishrles resiny and dry. A nicely balanced dipa.

A: The pour is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a thin white head on top. S: The nose has plenty of fresh grapefruit and other citrus hops. There is a bit of pine and a touch of sweet malt. T: The hops provide a real fruity character to the beer with lots of grapefruit and pineapple but do not think this is a sweet IPA. There is a ton of bitter, resinous, piney hop flavor as well. M: The body is medium to full with a moderate carbonation. D: This is actually one of the better DIPAs I’ve had. A fantastic amount of bitterness along with almost no alcohol presence.

Draft at Rattle n Hum in NYC with Andrew. Pours a copper body with a small, but lasting white head. Aroma is floral hop with grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a smooth crisp, prickly hop with a splash of grapefruit.

Pours a transparent deep bronze with a wispy lacing white head. Has a fairly fresh citrusy grapefruit hoppy nose with sweet underlying light caramel notes. Starts with good fullness and a sweet toasty light caramel and pale maltiness well balanced with an assertive resiny hop flavor before a drier crisp bittersweet finish. A nice iipa.

Tap at Blue Palms. Color is a nice, rich gold. Nose is very full hops, as expected, with a tart apple quality. Flavor is loads of fruity but acidic hops, pretty well balanced by malt, with definite orange and apple characteristics. Not my favorite dubs, but really competent.

On tap at the Vine Street Pub. Nice orange color, looks good, Smells hoppy! Citrus, fruity, some pine in both the aroma and teh flavor. This was a good IPA and I could not tell if it was high in ABV or not based upon the taste. I wish it were easier to find fresh Bear republic IPA’s in Colorado but c’est la vie. (Old BA rate - Oct. ’08) Hazy orange in color as expected from the style, with a thin white head. Pine and citruisy hop bitterness. Solid malt sweetness to back it up. Wow, hops and more hops with more of a piney/resiny type of hop presence. Still a solid malt backing. Pretty fat mouthfeel, and a little less viscous than the Mach 10 the brewery offers. Hugely drinkable for the style, and had no trouble at all with the sample. Overall, I really hope that I can find this in bottle form, not that I think it would ever come out...one can wish.

on tap @ Capones Pours a cloudy orange/copper with small head which thins quickly. Lacing clings to the glass throughout. The nose is pine, caramel and citrus. Good carbonation is evident. While this IS a DIPA, I love the bright flavors of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and pine. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium-bodied. There is a nice mild bitterness in the finish. Drinkability? Hell, yeah. I would suggest you try this great, balanced example of a DIPA. I will again for sure.

From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice strong sweet malty flavor with a lingering finish.

On tap. Filtered orange color with a creamy white head. Notes of honey, caramel, wet grains, bitter sweet sauce, and flowers. Weaker mouthfeel. Blah.
