The aroma is a nice citrus, caramel. The flavor is the same as the aroma, with a little more pine, and citrus. The appearance is a hazy yellow, white head. The finish is a resiny hop bittering. Good IIPA.

Dark amber orange pour creamy off white head .... lacing .... aroma of citrusy hops and a little piney and sweet malt ....... taste of sweet malts, fruits (grapefruits mostly), and citrusy hops with a light bitter finish ... a mellow and balanced brew taste goes from malt to citrus and hops very well

20100402 Tap. Hazy, medium amber with lasting, sticky, rocky white head. Aroma is tropical and resinous with some pineapple, dark bread, significantly Bear Republicy yeast note. Medium to full in heft with a light fruity sweetness and sticky, resinous hop dominated finish. Lingering bitterness, inviting. Nicely done. Thanks Robert!

Cask at Toad in the Hole. Orange and turbid with fine cream head. Mint, candy, honey, allspice on the good team; bad guys are stemmy and cheesy, but they aren’t prominent. Flavors are not so poetic. There is a big, pungent wave of hot onion and solvent. Medium body and neutral to soft mineral balance.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a clear copper with a medium creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing. The aroma is a floral hop with grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a smooth hop with grapefruit and caramel. Hides the alcohol well making it easy to drink. A very good IIPA from Bear Republic.

On draft at Fries Cafe in Cincinnati. Pours a deep golden amber with a thick creamy off white head. Aroma is a bouquet of fresh citric fruit, very sweet overripe type of tropical fruitiness, grapefruit, nectarine, fresh hoppiness. Flavor is much of the same, slightly less satisfying than the aroma. Still a nice sweet fruit character, delicate bitterness balancing the sweetness, and just enough spice to add some character. Essentially no booziness. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation. Very satisfying and surprisingly easy drinking Imp IPA.

Draught at the Thirsty Monk. Pours a translucent soft amber with a one finger offwhite head. Nose is extremely pungent and hoppy, resinous and super citrusy, mango, grapefruit, mildly sweet. Flavor shows mango and a resinous hop character, sweet and citrusy, grapefruit rind. Palate shows a mild bitterness.
