GMCC2181 (846), Bear, Delaware, USA Mar 29, 2009 On tap at capones. Poured into a pint glass. Decent head. Redish dark color to it. Nice nose on it....citrus and some pine. Taste is hoppy and malty, very well balanced. Touch of sweetness in the aftertaste. Average texture, easy to drink. Good beer. Overall...considering I had a PTY and PTE right before this, it held up to them quite well. Gethinbeer (995), Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 28, 2009 On tap. Amber colour with a thin white head. Citrus, ginger and oranges. Hopped ale. Decent IPA. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 26, 2009 On tap at Capone’s. Poured a medim and hazy amberish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, pine, and floral hops. Tastes of citrus, caramel, some tropical fruits, and a little toasty. Light lacing left on the glass. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Mar 23, 2009 Tap @ Hamilton’s. Pours a glowing orange amber with a fluffy off white head. Aromas of some tropical fruits and some sweet malts. Flavor had a good balance between malt and hops. Medium in body and slightly sticky. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Mar 23, 2009 Draught at The Red in Santa Cruz. Amber orange with a small white head. Sweet grapefruit and floral hop aroma. The flavor has a moderately sweet, malt base with lots of grapefruit and other fruity bits. The finish is firmly bitter and hoppy, though still a bit restrained and balanced. Medium-full, mostly clean body. Nice, somewhat balanced citrus-bomb, though I think I prefer the oily hoppiness of Racer X to this. nightrider (370), encinitas, California, USA Mar 22, 2009 On tap at Toronado. Golden orange color with a white head. Hoppy nose.Medium body and smooth. Solid bitterness with a great balance of sweet malt. Easy to drink. Good brew. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA Mar 18, 2009 Draft pours a beautiful golden color with a good amount of carbonation. Big pine, citrus and slightly funky (in a good way) aroma. WOW. Great first sip. A lot of citrus hop bitterness that fades quickly into a medium sweet body with some caramel and slight candy quality. Nicely balanced. Very nice DIPA. illidurit (851), Santa Cruz, California, USA Mar 16, 2009 On tap at The Red in Santa Cruz. Dark gold color with an off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is citrusy and sweet. Not the most robust hop bomb aroma I’ve ever smelled but it’s above-average. Flavor is citrusy up front with ripe grapefruit and herbal and resiny in the midpalate. Moderate hop astringency with modest bitterness. Very dry with nice carbonation. Pretty good DIPA.
